Nutrient Dense Dirty Chai

With fall season officially upon us, my go-to cozy drink is a Dirty Chai. As a nutritionist, I try to find ways to make my favorite recipes full of nutrients without ruining the integrity of the drink.

Nutrients & Superfoods in the Dirty Chai

Lion's Mane mushroom powder:

Lion's mane may protect against dementia, reduce mild symptoms of anxiety and depression, and help repair nerve damage. It also has strong anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and immune boosting abilities and been shown to lower the risk of heart disease, cancer, ulcers and diabetes.

Collagen Peptides:

Collagen's role is to provide structural support to your body's connective tissues, such as your skin, tendons, bones, ligaments and internal organs.

Organic Cinnamon:

Anti-inflammatory, loaded with antioxidants, may cut the risk of heart disease, lowers blood sugar levels.

Organic Ground Ginger:

Loaded with antioxidants, compounds that prevent stress and damage to your body's DNA. May help your body fight off chronic diseases like high blood pressure, heart disease, and diseases of the lungs, plus promote healthy aging.

Laird Superfood Creamer:

Packed with real ingredients like coconut milk powder and aquamin


-1 C Brewed organic coffee (my favorite is Four Sigmatic Lion's mane blend)

-1tbs Laird Superfood Creamer (optional)

-1/4 tsp Lions Mane powder (optional)

-1/4 tsp Organic Cinnamon

-1/4 tsp Organic ground ginger

-1/4 C Dairy free milk (I use cashew milk)

-1/4 tsp Organic vanilla extract

-1/2 tsp Pure organic maple syrup

-1tbs Collagen Peptides


1) Using a milk frother, combine cashew milk, maple syrup, vanilla, ginger, cinnamon, superfood creamer, collagen peptides, and lions mane powder. If you dont have a frother, you can add everything to a blender and blend for 10 seconds.

2) Pour over ice then top off with brewed coffee.

That's it!
